Noche Big Dada

Friday July 30
San Jorge Square
Cáceres

21:30
DJ Gamjah!

After expressing initial interest in punk-rock, hardcore, ska, reggae and metal, Dj Gamjah! enters the world of abstract hip-hop and electronic music. The turntablism and scratch mark his sessions and his career as a DJ. He is the creator and editor of the e-zine "Turntablog." Now, he is immersed in his most ambitious project: KFD.

22:30
Infinite Livez vs. Stade
(Big Dada Recordings)

Infinite Livez, called by critics "one of the most idiosyncratic and creative voices of British rap", has spent his entire career under Big Dada combining idealistic hip-hop and spontaneous spoken word. The Swiss duo Stade has recorded with Infinite Livez the album "Art Brut Fe De Yoot" (Big Dada, 2007) and "Morgan Freeman's Psychedelic Semen" (Big Dada, 2008), in which they have bonded glitch, space-jazz, spoken word and hip-hop.

24:00
Juice Aleem
(Big Dada Recordings)

Juice Aleem's versatility has taken the hip-hop into hyperspace. The former leader of Gamma and New Flesh for Old (later New Flesh) has collaborated with Coldcut, Hextstatic, Evil 9, Adam Freedland, among many others. In 2009, he recorded his long-awaited debut solo album "Come Jerusalaam" in Big Dada.

Noche Compost

Saturaday July 31
San Jorge Square
Cáceres

21:30
César Andrada

César Andrada began to mix in the early nineties when he resided in different clubs of the capital city of Caceres. His interest in electronic creation led him to explore new horizons in Switzerland, Naples, London, Berlin, etc. He combines the teaching of music and DJs with frequent sessions in clubs of Extremadura. He is currently a resident and head of the well known Cacerenian club Submarino.

22:30
Ben Mono
(Compost Records)

Ben Mono is an artist devoted to the mediation between different scenes. He is able to build bonds between digital aesthetics and B-Boy attitude (which is considered as the engine for bit-hop) or to combine his role as a DJ with his contribution to the indie band Munk. He has worked with musicians as diverse as Ty Rob Birch (Stereo MCs), Purple Crush, Killa Kela, Jemini, or Yo Majesty!

24:00
Michael Reinboth
(Compost Records)

Michael Reinboth founded Compost Records in 1994. The record label has gone down in history of popular music of our time thanks to an eleven-volume series - "Future Sounds of Jazz" - considered fundamental in the development of nu-jazz. But leaving aside the work done for his record label, he is also a journalist and DJ who has made from the diversity and width of his views a true declaration of principles.
